America's Cup 2013 Live Social Conversations
The sport of sailing is typically a tough spectator sport, as the action happens out on the water - in most cases beyond even the best binocular's reach - but that is not the story of what is happening on shore. With @AmericasCup having 42.7k followers , and 16k tweets for @americascup to date, total social reach* on FB, Twitter and Instagram alone is nearing the 1 Billion mark, and there are weeks more sailing to go. While the organizers are doing a great job keeping fans posted with live racing and event coverage vis Titter, watching what the fans and participants have to say gives the event more depth, dimension and a sense of community, which is why we would like to share it.
